When i look at you
my love its not your age that i see,
but only beautiful a heart who always knew
our love was mean't to be.
time and distance, could not stop us then,
and oh when i look back,
what beautiful memories of
how our love began.
just two lonely people
who came together as friends,
who shared our joys of laughter,
and would each go home
to the loneliness after.
i am not sure when it was that our love began
i just know if the world would end,
i would come back and
choose you all over again.
never in a lifetime could there be a love
so warm
and true as the the beautiful love that
i feel blessed to have shared with you.
and though the day may come when i must go,
i know the lord above,
will keep my light shining for you to see
from earth down below.
and when the day comes for you,
i shall be awaiting at the gates with arms
open wide.
for there could never be
a love as beautiful as yours and mine.
